Are you ready for Woodbury Days?
Woodbury Days runs from August 24-26 at Ojibway Park, and throughout the city.
There are festivities and events for all ages.
“Taste of Woodbury” is open all three days. No matter what type of food you might be craving – you’ll find it here.
Last year Acapulco Restaurant won “Best Entree,” Culver’s took home the “Best Dessert” award, the WYAL Baseball was awarded “Best Fair Food” for its french fries, and Outback took home the “Best Booth” award. Will these vendors have a repeat, or will their be some new winners?
Woodbury Days also features a Business Fair each day. Did you know that more than 150 businesses host booths at the event?
Kids’ activities are also scheduled through the entire weekend.
On Friday, kids can create their own “Noah’s Ark “Stuff-n-Fluff” creature; Saturday stirs up creativity with “make a Noodle Out of Yourself,” Kowalski’s “Coin Hunt,” and a “Photo Fantastic Art Project.”
Kids of all ages will enjoy the Radio Disney event at the Bandshell on Saturday afternoon.
Perhaps you have a “custom home builder” in the making? Find out at the “Kids Building Workshop” on Saturday afternoon.
Love a scavenger hunt? Put together your team of kids (plus one adult per team) and follow the clues through the Vendor Booths.
Sunday kids are treated to a “Magical Mud Mosaics Art Project” class where they will combine clay, beads, tiles and sequences to create a fun mosaic.
Woodbury Days also features carnival rides and games, a “critters petting zoo,” bingo, martial arts demonstrations, public safety demonstrations, and much more.
There is live entertainment both Friday and Saturday night with music by GB Leighton, and by The Dweebs, respectively.
For the athletes in the area, there are two events happening over the weekend – a tennis tournament and the “Country Mile Run/Walk.” Although neither event is part of the Woodbury Days festivities, both are happening the same weekend.
There’s also a vintage car show – put on by the 3M Rod & Custom Car Club, on Saturday only.
What city celebration would be complete without its royalty, and a parade? Meet the Ambassadors, the Miss Woodbury contestants, and watch the Grande Parade on Sunday afternoon.
Woodbury Days has something for everyone. What a great community!
